Just back from 2 weeks in Canada - had an excellent time. Full of the unexpected.
For example, I didn't expect to be playing chess in the middle of Route 403 (a 6 lane motorway). But then the tanker driver a minute ahead of us didn't expect to be forced off the road into a ditch and wind up dead. The traffic was stopped for 4 hours while they cleaned it up.
When we went to see the Toronto BlueJays, I didn't expect our £17 tickets to get us so close to the game.
I didn't expect to see fireflies on the boat trip on Moose Lake where we saw this amazing sunset.
That's just the start of it. I wrote a long list on the plane on the way home.
May we live with a constant openness to the unexpected.
May you be surprised today!
